Her songs build like prayers, rising into cinematic anthems of non-naive hope.

Her music is in service of the emergence of a mature global civilization, capable of wisely stewarding the unprecedented power of exponential technologies, in concert with an enduringly healthy biosphere, while avoiding catastrophes and dystopias.

The most consequential challenges of our time—from climate instability to AI risk—are almost always understood and tackled from logic, but logic is only one way of knowing and only one part of ourselves. That disconnection from the entirety of our being perpetuates the problems.

Her music is in service of uniting our minds with our hearts, our analytical understanding with our emotions, and of blurring the distinction between self and other.

Hers is just one voice of a wider movement asking, what must we do to survive ourselves? Her music is dedicated to being a part of the communal rituals of a growing global family seeking a new way.

Earthrise

I see your world from upper space

It looks so shiny from my red rocks up here

I think you fell from your own grace

Do I see bones orbiting around your sphere?

I cannot say I did not try

We did our best gathering all of our force

Without much hope, I will not lie

But with a vision for the stars and much more

Isn't this what we should want

Reaching for the stars

Isn't this what we should want

Reaching for the stars

Humanity's Overview Effect

A landmark work-in-progress collaboration with Grammy-winning artists Jacob Collier and KT Tunstall, Earthrise confronts humanity’s greatest challenges through music.

Inspired by the “overview effect” — the awakening astronauts feel when seeing Earth as a fragile blue marble suspended in darkness — the song imagines a future where humanity flees to Mars only to realize what was lost. From that distant vantage point, a survivor looks back on a ruined Earth, haunted by ancestral melodies that pull them home to the present.

Earthrise is both warning and invitation: a journey through pain, shadow, and exile that returns us to the truth: it is not too late. The song calls us to rise together with the Earth, to face reality, and to protect the only living oasis we know.

Power of Light

In siliconed landscapes ahead in the race

Everestian slopes peak covered by haze

Exchanging old myths of God's we dismiss

Replacing with force "much greater than this"

Weaving networks around their knives

In our connectomes our power lies

And even though the dusk may dawn

It's in the dark where the light is strong

A Species-Scale Threat

The race to AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) humanity's final race for totalizing military, economic, psychological, scientific, and technological dominance. And yet, this ultimate power is uncontrollable — and the more powerful it is becoming, the better it is getting at blackmailing, escaping, and lying in the service of surviving and gaining power.

Building uncontrollable smarter-than-human intelligence may be the last mistake humanity every makes.

Most technologies have a limited scope in terms of what they can do. Advances in rocketry do not give advances in genetic engineering or mathematics. AI is unique: it advances intelligence itself. That means advances in AI also advance rocketry, genetic engineering, chip production, surveillance capabilities, weaponry, mining... everything.

We are training machines to beat humans in achieving goals in every domain, so where humans and machines compete, humans will lose. This is a suicide.

The Power of Light is an anthem to unite us in the face of humanity's ultimate test, which may also be our greatest invitation
